Every measurement is mapped onto a scale where a hundred is always better, Frizz included, then weighted. The weights are public and fit on one line.

Your first scan records your starting line. Everything after compares to it. An 82 on coily hair and an 82 on straight hair mean the same thing: above your own baseline.

Calibration matters more than the sensor

A reference disc is scanned once a month. Without it the optics drift and the trend lies. It is the boring part of the product, and it is also what makes it credible.

No diagnosis, no promise of regrowth, no medical advice. The clamp measures a surface. It knows nothing about your follicle, and we will not pretend otherwise.

What we get asked most.

How can a clamp measure hair?

It doesn't measure a hair, it measures a lock. The jaws hold about a hundred strands flat, under known lighting. What is read is the light coming back off that surface, not the biology of the follicle.

Does it work on curly, coily or colour-treated hair?

Yes. Your first scan records your reference and everything after that compares you to you, not to a norm. A score of 82 on coily hair and a score of 82 on straight hair mean the same thing: you are above your own line.

Do I have to scan every day?

No. A scan takes 20 seconds and three scans a week are enough to hold a trend. People testing a treatment scan more often, and that is their call.

This isn't a medical device, is it?

What happens after the twelve months included?
